Analysis of core components of industrial pipelines: Functions and applications of cast steel gate valves

As a key control element of the pipeline system, cast steel gate valves are of irreplaceable importance in the field of fluid regulation. This valve device, cast from special steel, exhibits excellent performance under various harsh working conditions due to its unique material properties and structural design.

Analysis of material properties
The special steel selected for cast steel gate valves is based on its comprehensive performance advantages: in terms of strength, it can withstand working pressures 3-5 times higher than conventional valves without deformation; in terms of corrosion resistance, the material loss rate is lower than 40% of ordinary carbon steel in a medium environment with a pH value of 2 to 12; the temperature tolerance range is from -29°C to 425°C, which is fully adapted to high temperature and high pressure environments. Structural operation principle
The equipment adopts a vertical lifting gate design to achieve flow control through the precise transmission of the valve stem. In the closed state, the wedge-shaped sealing surface can generate a sealing pressure ratio that exceeds 20% of the system pressure, ensuring that the zero leakage standard is met. Its double sealing structure (including metal hard seal and elastic auxiliary seal) can maintain excellent sealing performance even under frequent opening and closing.

Oil and gas transportation field: In the natural gas pipeline with Class 900 pressure level, 20,000 leakage-free opening and closing operation records have been successfully achieved.

Power system application: In the main steam pipeline of a million-kilowatt thermal power unit, it has been continuously operated for 40,000 hours without maintenance.

Municipal engineering field: After a super-large city water supply system adopted this type of valve, the leakage rate of the pipeline network dropped to below 0.25‰.

Chemical production scenario: In the transportation process of highly corrosive media, a breakthrough performance of no replacement for up to five years has been achieved.
