Bronze flange gate valve: a must-have for ships

Bronze Flanged Gate Valve plays a vital role in the pipeline system, and its core role is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

Reliable cutoff of medium flow: Bronze Flanged Gate Valve achieves full open/full close control of medium flow through the vertical lifting of the gate. When the gate is in the fully open state, the flow channel is straight, and the flow resistance is close to zero, which can ensure the smooth passage of the fluid; when the gate is in the fully closed state, it can completely block the two-way medium flow, thereby effectively isolating the pipeline. In addition, bronze material (CuSn alloy) has good corrosion resistance and can withstand seawater, weak acid/alkali and humid environment, so it is particularly suitable for ship ballast water system, chemical industry involving weak corrosive media and other scenes.

Structural advantages of flange connection: Bronze Flanged Gate Valve adopts a design method of flange surface and gasket combination, and complies with DIN/EN standards. The sealing level can reach PN16 to PN25, which can meet the needs of ship high-pressure pipelines. At the same time, its operation is relatively convenient, it can be driven by a handle or handwheel, and the required operating torque is small, and it can be opened and closed quickly even in a shaking ship environment.

Corrosion resistance and long life characteristics: Bronze materials perform well in corrosive environments such as salt spray and seawater, which makes the service life of bronze flange gate valves 3 to 5 times longer than that of brass valves. More importantly, this product meets the drinking water hygiene standards (such as GB/T 5231), so it is also suitable for ship fresh water systems and municipal water supply facilities.
