Low Temperature Gate Valves: Install a safety gate for the -196℃

‌On-site report‌
At Dalian LNG receiving station, engineers are doing a "physical examination" on a silver valve. The surface of Low Temperature Gate Valves">Low Temperature Gate Valves is covered with white frost, like a Coke can just taken out of the refrigerator. Technician Xiao Wang explained while recording data: "This low-temperature gate valve must withstand liquid nitrogen at minus 196 degrees. You can see the metal tube extending from its neck here, which is used to isolate the cold air."

‌Antifreeze three-piece set‌

‌Special steel‌: The stainless steel used in Low Temperature Gate Valves has undergone ultra-low temperature "antifreeze training" and is more resistant to freezing and cracking than ordinary steel.
‌Vacuum insulation‌: The valve cover is evacuated to a near-vacuum state, and cold air cannot penetrate, just like the interlayer of a thermos cup.
‌Automatic compensation‌: Low temperature will cause metal to shrink, but the sealing structure inside the valve can "grow" by itself to fill the gap.
‌Extreme Challenge Record‌
• 50 days of liquid nitrogen immersion, 500 openings and closings without leakage
• Instantly heated from minus 196 degrees to room temperature, valves without cracks or deformation
• 300 "ice and fire" tests in simulated space extreme environments

‌Tips for use‌
① In severe cold weather, run the Low Temperature Gate Valves a few times before opening and closing to prevent them from getting stuck
② Special antifreeze lubricant must be used (ordinary butter will freeze into wax blocks)
③ If feather-like ice crystals are found on the valve, report immediately

This "super refrigerator door" has been used in the fields of liquefied natural gas transportation and aerospace fuel filling, and is also used in the Lianzhu Hong Kong-Macao Bridge submarine gas pipeline. Its most powerful ability is to allow liquefied natural gas at minus 160 degrees to flow safely, ensuring that the natural gas we use can be "calmly" delivered to thousands of households.
