Pneumatic Ball Valve
Pneumatic ball valve is a kind of valve which is equipped with pneumatic actuator. The execution speed of pneumatic actuator is relatively fast, the fastest switching speed is 0.05 second/time, so it is also called pneumatic fast cut off ball valve. Pneumatic ball valves are usually equipped with a variety of accessories, such as solenoid valve, F.R.L, limit switch, locator, control box, etc.
The advantages of pneumatic ball valve in the pipeline are on the below:
1. Small fluid resistance;
2. Simple structure, small size and light weight;
3. High intensity. The sealing surface material of ball valve is widely using plastic, good tightness. It also used for vacuum system.
4. Easy to operate, quickly open and close. Only need rotating 90° can achieve the aim from full open to full close which is easy to control in the distance.
5. Easy to maintenance. The structure of pneumatic ball valve is simple, the seal rings are operative, thus it is more convenient to disassemble and replace.
6. When the ball valve is fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface of ball and seat are isolated from media. When the media flow past, it will not cause the erosion of sealing surface.
7. It is relatively safe because of it’s air pressure—0.2-0.8MPa. If pneumatic ball valve leaks, comparing with hydraulic and electric actuator, the gas can be discharged directly, there is no pollution to the environment, whats more it has high security.
8. Compared with manual and gear operated ball valves, the pneumatic ball valve can be configured in large caliber (manual and gear operated ball valves are generally below DN300 caliber and the pneumatic ball valve can reach DN1200 caliber.)
