Slab Gate Valve, as a core component in the industrial pipeline system, plays the role of a "hard-core switch". Its working principle is based on the up and down sliding of a stainless steel plate, which can quickly cut off or release the flow of oil and harmful fluids to achieve efficient control.
1. Structural Overview
Slab Gate Valve is mainly composed of three parts:
Valve body (iron shell): as the main channel for fluid transmission, ensuring smooth passage of fluid.
Gate (stainless steel plate): when the valve is closed, the gate slides down and fits tightly to the valve seat, effectively preventing the flow of fluid. Its sealing performance is excellent, comparable to the sturdiness of anti-theft doors.
Valve stem (lifting rod): by rotating the handle, the gate is driven to move up and down to open and close the valve.
When closing the valve, the operator needs to press the left side first and then tighten the right side to ensure that the sealing reaches the level of safe. Some models also support lubrication maintenance to extend the service life.
2. Ease of operation
The operation process of the flat gate valve is extremely simple, similar to using an air conditioner remote control:
Open state: Turn the handle counterclockwise, the gate rises to the top, and the fluid can pass unimpeded.
Closed state: Turn the handle clockwise vigorously, the gate is quickly pressed down and stuck, forming a solid seal. Even if it encounters strong vibrations, such as natural disasters such as earthquakes, it is difficult to destroy its sealing effect.
It is worth mentioning that for media containing particulate matter such as coal slag and mud, it is recommended to use a knife gate valve with a blade to achieve a one-cut effect and prevent the occurrence of jamming.
3. Application field
Due to its unique performance characteristics, the flat gate valve plays an important role in many fields:
Oil pipeline: Facing an oil and gas environment with a pressure of up to 35 times the atmospheric pressure, the flat gate valve has become the preferred safety solution with its stainless steel material and excellent explosion-proof and pressure-resistant capabilities.
