Standards and specifications
The design and manufacturing follow the American National Standard ANSI B16.34 and the Petroleum Institute Standard API600, which is suitable for high temperature and high pressure conditions. The wedge-type single gate structure (elastic or rigid) is adopted to ensure reliable sealing and avoid gate wedging.
Structural features
Compact and rigid: The valve body is compact, rigid, safe and reliable.
Seal compensation: The gate elastic structure can automatically compensate for deformation caused by temperature or load, and improve sealing.
Inverted seal design: The valve inverted seal structure prevents stuffing box leakage and supports online replacement of packing.
2. Materials and configuration
Main body material: carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc., suitable for temperature range -196℃ to 560℃.
Valve seat and seal: The valve seat can be replaced, and the sealing surface material can be customized to extend the service life.
Operation mode: Support handwheel, bevel gear, electric or pneumatic operation.
3. Performance Advantages
Pressure and Temperature Resistance
The pressure range covers Class 150 to 2500 (PN10 to PN420), which is suitable for high-pressure steam, oil and gas pipelines and other scenarios. The fluid characteristics are small resistance, small opening and closing force, and unrestricted medium flow direction.
The sealing surface wear is small and the service life is long. The stem seal adopts a combination of flexible graphite and braided graphite to improve the sealing performance.
Industrial application scenarios include petrochemical, power (high-temperature steam), water treatment, metallurgy and aerospace industries. Typical uses include ship fuel systems, chemical pipelines, seawater pipelines and other high-pressure or corrosive media control.
The difference with API6D is mainly reflected in the structural difference: API600 gate valves must be wedge-type single gate design, while API6D pipeline valves allow flat gates or multi-piece elastic gates. In terms of scope of application, API600 is designed for high-temperature and high-pressure valves, while API6D is dedicated to oil and gas pipelines.
