Tilting Disc Check Valve
Valve Disc Design: The valve disc of the tilting disc check valve adopts a tilting disc design, which can better adapt to the flow direction of the fluid.
Structural Features: The structure of the tilting disc check valve is relatively simple, usually composed of fewer parts, and is easy to install and maintain.
Swing Check Valve
Valve Disc Design: The valve disc of the swing check valve is disc-shaped and rotates around the rotating axis of the valve seat channel.
Structural Classification: Swing check valves are divided into three types according to the different valve diameters, namely single-disc type, double-disc type and multi-disc type. The main purpose is to prevent the medium from stopping flowing or backflowing and weakening hydraulic impact.
2. Differences in Working Principles
Tilting Disc Check Valve
Open: When the fluid flows in from the inlet direction of the valve, the tilting disc disc will be pushed open to allow the fluid to pass.
Close: When the fluid flows in the opposite direction, the disc will close quickly to effectively prevent backflow. This design enables the inclined disc check valve to maintain good sealing performance even when the fluid flow rate is high.
Swing check valve
Open: When the fluid flows from one side of the valve to the other, the pressure of the fluid acts on the valve disc, causing it to automatically rotate open against gravity and spring force (if any). At this time, the valve disc is separated from the valve seat, and the fluid can pass through the valve smoothly.
Close: When the fluid tries to flow in the opposite direction, the valve disc automatically rotates and closes under the action of the fluid pressure. Due to the gravity or spring force of the valve disc, the valve disc will fit tightly against the valve seat to form a seal and prevent the fluid from flowing back.
3. Application occasions
Inclined disc check valve
The inclined disc check valve has strong adaptability to fluids and can be used in the transportation of various liquids and gases. Due to the relatively low pressure loss, it performs better in situations where flow efficiency needs to be guaranteed. This makes the inclined disc check valve widely used in many industries such as petroleum, chemical, electric power, and metallurgy.
Swing Check Valve
The inner passage of the swing check valve is streamlined, and the flow resistance is relatively small. It is suitable for large-diameter occasions with low flow rate and infrequent flow changes. However, since its sealing performance may not be as good as that of the lift check valve, it may not be the best choice in occasions requiring high sealing performance.
