Sedelon Handwheel Quick Opening Basket Strainer

The handwheel quick opening basket strainer is an enhanced version of the conventional basket strainer. It offers the same functions as a conventional basket strainer but with the added benefit of a quick switch mechanism. This feature has the advantages of quick and convenient installation, disassembly, cleaning, and inspection.

When cleaning, simply unscrew the bonnet bolts and nuts, then rotate the handwheel counterclockwise to lift the stem and raise the bonnet. Next, turn the crossbeam to move the bonnet outside the valve body, take out the screen for cleaning. Additionally, open the drain plug to discharge impurities from the housing cavity. After cleaning, rotate the handwheel clockwise again to achieve rapid axial movement of the stem without the need for other auxiliary tools. It overcomes the disadvantages of the conventional basket strainer, such as the cumbersome process of cleaning and replacing the screen, inconvenient opening, and excessive use of personnel.

This type of strainer is particularly useful in applications where frequent cleaning or inspection of the screen is required, such as in industries with high levels of debris or contaminants in the fluid.
